Typing gobbledegook...help !

What I typed before having my coffee this morning,,re-read as gobbledegook...

AHA -Keys are interchanging..F is now D and vice versa...

(I tried looking at my Synaptics pointing device files,but its all very advanced for me.
First time I did ANYTHING to my laptop,was last week,"Read and run".:major)

Also,sometimes while typing,online,I get a space between letters in a word.

Just found another exchanged key,- is now [,and vice versa.

(Hp Pavilion,Xp-2 Windows,weekly Ccleaned,defragged.)
No external mouse,hate 'em.

I would like to try to clean out the keyboard,but very scared I'll mess it up,
-no cans of air available right now-was told to turn off,take out battery and pop up each key and clean under.Not by any kind of expert...rolleyes
So thought I'd ask here first.

I'll run all scans from the arsenal you guys gave me,
- just in case ,only done the usual morning ones to date,and check back,later.

You have probably already guessed the answer....my son cleaned said keyboard,did not tell me until he came home.....and he reversed the 4 keys....:-D Boy,do I feel stupid.:-o

 

At least your son realised what had happened!! Just think what a mess you could have gotten into.
