Ubuntu 9.04 ppc unable to log in

Hello all.

I have recently installed ubuntu 9.04 Power pc version on an Ibook G3. Now the problem is when i try to log in I get an invalid user name or password error. I have tried installing it twice with the same error. I cannot figure out why it keeps doing this. The second time i wrote down what i typed for a username and a password. It still did not work.

Any ideas on how i can fix this?

Yes that will work with a pc...The ppc alternate cd boots differently. It uses the Yaboot boot loader... i don't get that screen when it boots up.

 

There is an Apple Section at the Ubuntu Forums that may have quicker results then.

 

oh i didn't look there. I did find a thread on how to fix it but i tried everything that the thread told me to do so i gave up on that and am currently waiting for my friend to give me a copy of panther since its not really sold anymore.
