robertbiferi I can't follow the rules

I have win xp pro 32. bit and I was going to get Ubuntu 10 and just forget all about win 7.

I have coreldraw and movie studio 8.0 and they are the High end ones not the watter down ones.

    Will these work in Ubuntu?

I see a lot of videos on youtube that say Ubuntu is just not there yet for getting things doend.

And that win is still upthere??

coreldraw isn't working with linux or wine, and if you mean Vegas (movie studio 8.0) same thing. No dice. You will find TONS of compatibility issues trying to run windows apps on linux (even with wine) . Why are you trying to get away from windows if you want to use windows apps ? You can always dual-boot XP and whatever flavor of linux you want .

Try running Ubuntu in VMWare if you wish but it's only for giggles. This works just fine if you have a need and the hardware to run it. I have one going right now on the 930 maxing out my CPU by design while I'm on Windows.
