Ubuntu Utilities

    I have just been playing around with Ubuntu for about a month now. I don't know hardly anything about Ubuntu and I would like to know what utilities I should have to keep a fast running system.

    I know with windows I need ccleaner, Windows washer, and so on,......... what should I have for Ubuntu?:confused:confused:confused

    all i do is have the temp files set to be emptied at boot,

    there is an application called sweeper which removes various things, it should be in your repo's, thats about it really,

    actually, thinking about it, its a kde thing but there should be something the same for gnome

    short of cleaning out your temp internet files.... there isn't anything to do with ubuntu. Linux, by it's very design, does not 'decay' like windows... or at least, not nearly as fast and to nearly as bad a degree.
