Infuriated that I couldnt vote today, I just watched most of the proceedings since when the polls closed. Since it's now about 4am, I make that 6 hours. Watching politicians.

My head hurts :( Anyway, no surprise, Labour won, by what extent I have no idea, because I can't be bothered now that the results for my constituency have been annoucned...and I have to be up for school in 3 hours.

    *yawn*

    Night folks!

I hear Arthur Negis has held Bristol.

    That's not a result, that's just a bit of gossip. :)

From the US viewpoint, Blair winning is a good thing IMO

Wonder how long ol' Tony will last before he hands over power to Gordon?

Personally I dont think he's been the strongest PM we've ever had as I suspect he is more lead by his minions or other leaders than making his own mind up.

Considering the love/hate relationship between them I don't think Tony will hand over unless we see a repeat of the Poll Tax Riots, God forbid!

I agree with you about his leadership...it has been very much influenced by other leaders....not always a bad thing... but also why I think his re-election is good for the US> He and Bush have an excellent working platform, one I don't think that could have been developed had, say, the Liberals got in.

there seems to be a new saying here, now
"Just because you have more votes, doesn't mean you'll win."

So us, the US, doesn't really know whats good for them as a whole, anyway.

and riots are always fun. . .

The Labour Party always used to be left of centre, moreso than the Liberals, and now they seem right wing. Here in BC we have a Liberal government that leans way to the right. These were a bunch of defunct SoCreds who jumped on the bandwagon of a fledgling party. There's nothing in a name anymore. They doubled student fees here.
