Interesting reason to donate one's remains. However I'm not sure I want to see the details.;)

Interesting I guess but things like that always make me feel for the poor family members, its great saying you want your ashes fired into space or something but its your poor family who has to organise it all while grieving.

This was already discussed with his wife, it's not as if she didn't know about it beforehand. It's his body and he can do what he wants with it. I'd say just deal with it if someone objects.:p:-D I've donated whatever organs that are viable and can use my remains for whatever else is needed as to teaching etc. I won't care.;)

Whenever I talk about it with my family we all agree to be be buried in the cheapest coffin available because we all hate the amount of money funeral directors burn you for.

But I know when it inevitably happens none of us will because we'll be too grief stricken, who would be happy seeing their parent or son being carried in one of those cardboard coffins?

Yeah your though,he had a terminal disease so they both had plenty of time to prepare and organise things.
