ulead video studio capture works with wmv only

Hello,

So i was thinking capture all of my VHS taps to the PC using "easier cap" usb device i found on ebay...

Now after using ulead video studio i was unable to capture video while the video is indeed viewable on the software and the sound works perfectly!

But while trying to capture the footage on avi format i get some "No video was captured. Please check if there is any input signal. There may be no device selected."

however while switching to "wmv" format the capture works fine and i can see that the " elapsed time" starts its clocking,the downside is that the wmv comes with low video quality and that is bad consider the original res of the vhs is poorly enough...

Other then the wmv all formats does not allow me to capture.
