If my problem is similar to others im sorry for the double topic. Here is my problem for 2 and a half days I had access to a wireless router. then while i was out to get lunch i lost connection. And ever sence then I have been unable to reconnect to the wireless routers. I have uninstalled the drivers, ive updated the drivers, but still I am unable to connect. I even deleted the porfile as windows suggested and that didnt work either. The error I get is that the wireless router isnt broadcasting a signal. Yet when i pull up the list of wireless routers in the area the router is on the list. I am at wits end rying to figure this out.

Have you tried an iprelease and renew?
Can you access the router settings?

Hmmm,:confused is this a public router?

No i have not tried iprelease and renew but will try it. No it is not a public router there is a passcode for it, and sence it is a private secure router i do not have access to the router.

update: i have tried iprelease and renew but sence i am not connected to anything(either wired to the router or wireless) i am unable to use them. i have tried everything i could think of even doing a roll back to a previous save point and not even that works. what would cause something to stay connected for 2 full days then disconnect and make the user to be unable to reconect?

It's not a public router but do you have permission to be on it. Are you trying to boot leg a signal?

no im not trying to hack the router i was given permission to access it and given the passcode. when i try to connect to the router this is the response i get when i diagnose the problem.
yet when i pull up the list of wireless routers in the area it gives me 3-4 bars.
