Unable To Download Files

    Running current version of Windows 10. I am unable to download any files or apps. I receive a FireFox.exe error that states " This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page."
    Let me rephrase the above statement. I am able to download some files by using the "Save Link as" option using the right click button on the mouse.
    I have run Tweaking.com but no change. This is a disaster.
