unable to initialize installer GUI

Hi all,

I am hoping that you might help me resolve this riddle! When I try downloading from CNET or Google, it lets me download the program, but when I try to run it, it gives me this message ' unable to initialize installer GUI'. I have read you thread so far and it has not been of help unfortunately. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a HP Pavilion Slimline. I have tried contacting Cnet and Windows but have, so far, had no luck. Please help.....

Sorry, away for a few days! When you say what program, do you mean what program am I trying to download? If that is the case, it does this with everything I try installing. After the download (which works), I then try to install whatever program and it keeps coming up with the same "unable to initialize installer GUI. I have just tried to download 'DEXPOT' from the site, the download works fine, then when you try to install it come up with this error massage. Very frustrating as I use CNET a lot!
I have also tried changing my Browser, I have Google Chrome, I have now tried IE9 and Firefox, but no change.

 

Hey, Muchos Garcias Amigo, that makes perfect sense, they have now lost another customer!!!
It did seem strange that it only happened with this site!
