unable to open programs

    Hi all,
    When opening Navdesk to try and update my Navman Sat nav i get the following error

    SmartST_CE.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If problem persists contact the program vendor. Exception; 0xD0000288 Address; 01F704D4

    I have not heard back from their technical support.

    I think you had better keep pestering their customer support as i have just done a little reading for you and it all says pretty much the same thing ! Get in touch with Navman support ! See if they have aphone number and call them direct !

    Hi

    What Windows version you using?

    Has this been working ok until now or is this the first time you have tried to update?

    Possible to try while waiting for Navman to get back to you is re-install the software on your PC and try again, also if you haev a software firewall disable it or make sure Navman is allowed through it.

    Hi all, Thanks for the replies,
    I heard back from the technical support,
    They suggested removing through add/remove programs then delete the c:\program files\Navman folder, restart the PC, then re-install.
    I did this and the problem has gone, but now just going through adding the updates.
