    Hi,
I have followed the "READ & RUN ME FIRST" and attached the logs for your review. It seems to be few of virtumonde varients could not be removed by any of these anti-malware tools. I have confirmed this by running the same tool again. It deleted most of them but left out few. Please review the logs and let me know what do I need to do.

After my system is affected I bought 3 anti-virus ($160) softwares and it did not clean any of this malwares. After reading your site I understand that I need to buy/use 3 varients of anti-malware as well. I really appreciate the help you provided in this website.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I'm not sure whether I have posted my questions in right forum or not. Waiting for the help and any help is greatly appreciated.

I reran the SAS & malwarebytes and attached the logs. Only one malware it keep found by SAS & malwarebytes. I'm not sure it is bug in this anti-malwares or false positive or it in not able to heal.

    Thanks.

mmm, nobody reply to my issue. So I did more research on this forum and I tried myself.

So first I did the Reset Registry and File Permissions
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=169862

Then uninstalled & reinstalled SAS. No malwares found.
Ran the malwarebytes and no malwares found
Ran the spybot and no malwares found.
Ran AVG and no virus found.

So am I safe now? not sure.
How do I make sure I'm safe now?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello, qqura1

This time of the year, the malware forum is extremely busy. All of the malware fighters here work on a voluntary basis donating our time to clean infected machines for users such as yourself. Our queue is working the oldest threads first - so if you wish our help, some patience on your part is needed.

Uninstall Viewpoint Media Player. Then attach a fresh set of these logs, since you have made some changes:
    • ComboFix.txt
    • MGlogs.zip

I need to see if dijoromo.exe and any other leftovers remain.

    Thanks,
    dr.m

    Thanks for your reply dr.m
I do not see Viewpoint Media Player in my add/remove program. There is no folder in the C:\program files as well.
I'm not sure how to find out whether I have Viewpoint Media Player installed or not.
    Please let me know.

    Hello, qqura1

Let's do some clean-up after a Vundo infection.

The below fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for issue(s) on this machine. Also, please do not install any other software while we are still working with you unless instructed. Once we have given you the all clean and final instructions you will be free to install what you want.

    Some questions for you:
    • AVG8 in the installed programs list but does not appear to be properly installed anymore nor is it running. What happened to it? You have no anti-virus working.
    • You have some MSconfig registry keys showing... are you using MSconfig or some application to control some start-ups? How you un-install some things but didn't clear them from MSconfig first? <--- that would cause registry keys to get stuck.

    Step 1:
Both MBAM and SAS are outdated. Uninstall SAS > run CCleaner > download and update the latest version. Also - update MBAM.

    Step 2:
Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

    Step 3:
Please look in Add/Remove Programs for the following and uninstall if found. If you get any errors just make a note and proceed

    Step 4:
Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Step 4:
Now we need to use ComboFix to remove some malware.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. *Remember to re-start them before coming back online.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
If it asks you to overide the previous file with the same name, click YES.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below

    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Step 5:
    Run Ccleaner

    Step 6:
AFTER re-installing SAS... be sure to updatedthe definitions for SAS and MBAM --- then run both scanners.

    Step 7:
Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

Then attach the below logs to your next reply:
    • SASlog.txt
    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip

    Thanks!
