    Help anyone...

My computer is W7 Pro 32bit, with NIS2012 & MBAM Free.

Recently, after the removal of W32.SillyFDC, I was unable to view my network group/computers on it.

I can access internet, I can ping the other computers. The other computers can ping mine too, just that they can't see me as well.

The network comprises XP and W7 pcs.

My workgroup name is the same as the network group, and I've tried all file sharing settings, firewall settings of NIS, netsch resets, even tried removing node/dchpnode registry entry, lsp fix from cexx...

Anyone has any other idea, besides doing a system restore?

    Found the solution:

uninstall "file & printer sharing" for the network adapter, and reinstall it.
