Unbootable Clone On An Ssd

After cloning a working W10 system to a particular SSD, the SSD will not boot, but it will from a freshly installed Windows. The cloning procedure produces a bootable system on other HDDs, but not on this particular SSD. What could be wrong or how could it be remedied ?

 

There is an attached file - which I did NOT intentionally include - in fact I deleted it, but apparently ineffectively.

 

Which software did you us to clone the drive?
If Macrium have you use their ‘fix boot problems’ option? You may have to do this via their recovery media.

I recently switched from a HDD to a SSD but I restored my current image to the bare SSD via Macrium boot media rather than clone due to hearing about this problem when cloning to SSD.

 

I have been using Casper8 effectively for years to clone my system every week and numerous other clonings as well. I have not had to make any adjustments to accommodate the change from spinning-disc HDD to SSD. This is NOT the first time that the problem has arisen, so I had some experience in overcoming it; but still made the post to finally get it fully sorted. Since making the post, I've done experimentation with very interesting results. Previous experience led me to install a fresh x64Win10ProV20H2,
and sure enough that could boot - as stated in my original post ! then I formatted it and repeated the cloning that produced the unbootable system before - and this time it would boot - so it seems that installing a fresh system does something the the SSD that persists even after a format. I'm very puzzled and intrigued- so this is no longer a request for HELP (the SSD now boots !), but a request for INSIGHT into the inscrutables of the cloning process.
