He certainly had an interesting life.

 

Bummer, I enjoyed his books

 

He-man way ? Suicide is a coward's way out. A real man "fights against the dying of the light"

 

Try cutting your own head off with a butter knife. Now that takes a he-man.

 

To be honest with you when I read the title I thought Uncle Jessie Duke? I had to look up who this Thompson guy was. Still don't know except Johnny Depp was in a really stupid movie made about one of his books.

 

Another Gonzo gone, ah well, he chose his own exit

 

Interesting man. You can't walk in his shoes and know what made him commit suicide. Pain will make you do things.

 

I probably should have said "misguided he-man terms," but I figured "Hemingway-esque" conveyed the proper irony.

 

I hated to hear it but didn't surprise me really. Too bad.
