Hello. I'm new here. I've currently been trying to underclock my Acer laptop (Aspire 5050) using CPUCool and the problem is, I can't seem the find the mainboard manufacture in order to use the fine tune setting. Could someone help me with this? I keep getting PLL errors (Not being found). Thanks :).

Sorry for double posting but if this helps, my chipset is ATI RS485MC/RX485 SB460. Once again, thanks.

with some laptops, its just not possible to adjust clock settings. don't give up, though, but try to keep that in mind.

have you tried adjusting the clock settings in the BIOS?

I've tried but the option to change the clock speed is unable to be edited in the BIOS.
