XP would only run in Safe mode. I decided to reload it, so I cloned C drive to E drive. E drive won't boot either. XP up and running, but now when I start, it gives me the option of booting C or E. I don't want to and can't boot from E.

    How do I make E non-bootable?

Go into msconfig and delete the one that points to the boot path to the e drive.

Just to flesh that out a bit.

    Start>Run>type in msconfig
in the window that opens click the boot.ini tab, then choose check all paths button.

If it offers to remove E: as an invalid path then let it. If it says all paths valid you will have to manually edit the boot.ini file.

Exit msconfig. Right-click My Computer and select Properties>select Advanced tab>select Startup and Recover> select Edit button. Notepad will open. Copy and paste the contents of the file here and we can help you edit it to remove the reference to E: and make C: the default.
