Sorry for the peskiness but I really don't know if I have a problem, but I still have a folder that I can not erase.

    It is in My Documents.

I have run all of the scans and what have you's...I have attached my Bitdefender, Panda amd HJT logs.

The Panda and Bitdefender comes up witha small trojan that it can't clean and Panda comes up with a hacker tool.

HJT seems (to my un-trained eyes) to be pretty clean.

However, when I set the folders to show me all hidden and system files, there are 4 files in a folder in My Documents that are of 0 kb and are un-eraseable.

    There names are: CAJQA1BJ, CAKFRBI4, CASFJVQ0, CAUR0PMN

I have removed all unknown and unwanted programs with Control Panel.

    Would love some assistance.

    Thanks a million, :)

First of all, I REALLY appreciate the help. Good to hear that the trojan and stuff is alright.

    In regards to the files...
It only shows the file with those names that I told you. If I check in the properties of the files it says file type: file.

    Thanks again.

I really had hope this time......

Safe Mode didn't work and the move on boot didn't work either.

    AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I guess it's important to never lose hope!

    Thanks....

Any other ideas? What does this mean that I can't get rid of it?

Again, thanks for your time. Quite an interesting challenge. I agree with you that they may not be harmful. If so I wonder why they won't erase and how they got there at all.

Anyway, the file path is simple

They are in a folder which I created in My Documents called 'invalid'.

There are 3 different pathways being that they were put in a folder that was created in My Documents that automatically were placed in 2 other places as well:
    1) My Documents\Invalid\[filename]
    2) My Computer\Hillel's Documents\Invalid\[filename]
    3) C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Invalid\[filename]

Hillel is my account name on the system. Which by the way is Windows XP Home, NTFS SP-2.

Ok, there it is....the next move of this challenge is in your trusty hands once again.

    Good luck and thanks.

P.s. I'll keep checking things out from my end as well. If I come up with anything I'll let you know. Unless it is unadvisable to tinker around until we figure out what this thing is?

    Success!!! Success!!! Success!!! Success!!! Success!!!

I really hope this is alright. Through various internet searching I found a program called:
    Purgeie
    at this website:
    http://www.purgeie.com/delinv.htm

Anyway it TOTALLY cleared the files away. I think the problem may have been EXACTLY the direction you were getting ready to head in. Somehow (I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how) these files arrived there and there (I am theorizing) seems to have been a space or something between the filename and the extension which therefore rendered them un seeable or unreadable or something. Anyway. It erased them.

My only problem now is HOW DID THEY GET THERE? It's a folder that I created and never put them there!

Anyway, I REALLY REALLY appreciate your help, time and effort.

By the way......what is KILLBOX? It sounded pretty serious the way you said you were gonna do it!

Check it out, it seems to be pretty powerful and helpful

Is there a way to get it cheked out to list it as a program here on MG?

Who know who else has dealt with this problem!

    Thanks again....

    Good day.
