    Having trouble extracting some zips.

They are drivers for a computer that I downgraded from Vista to XP. When trying to use WinRAR, the error I get is the title of the thread(unexpected end of archive). I assume that they are just corrupt files on Acer's system because I've tried several times. One or two of the items I downloaded worked, but that's out of 10. It just seemed like a long shot to me that all 8 of the others would be corrupt on Acer's system, but I've downloaded and tried a couple of them more than once.

The only thing that I can think is that I downloaded them straight to a flash drive rather than the HD, but that shouldn't make a difference, as it's actually downloaded as a temp file to the HD anyway, right? And, like I said, two worked, so if the flash drive was the problem, none of them should have.

Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone knew of something for me to try, or if everyone things that the way to go now is to contact Acer about the files.

It's unfortunate that I didn't find out about this until AFTER I downgraded this PC. Hopefully I'll be able to get these drivers.

Which drivers are you trying to get?
There may be other sources than Acer that might have them.
ie: the manufacturer of the specific device - video card, sound card etc.

Which drivers? All of them.. lol.. It's a new Laptop (Acer Aspire 5315) that I downgraded to XP without using a downgrade specific disk that included the drivers. I didn't think it would matter since the drivers(or at least what appeared at a glance to be the correct drivers) are available online.

I could probably find them elsewhere, but I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do that. I believe Acer has been having techincal difficulties with their download site recently, this may be related.

I will probably wait a day and try the ones on Acers site again.

There are like... 8 drivers and 1 application. 1 driver I was able to unzip, I believe, but it was one I didn't need(AHCI driver I believe?). The 1 app that worked is for the webcam, I don't know if the app download and install included the driver or not.

At any rate, thanks for the reply. I think I'll just wait a day or so and try downloading from Acers site again. If they turn out corrupt again I'll contact Acer.
