Unidentified network on LAN connection

    Hello.
    Started up my Windows 7 64 bit Desktop which has been plugged into my DSL modem/router for the past few months without problem and it suddenly says 'unidentified network. No internet access.'
    I disabled/enabled the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, restarted my modem (which runs just fine with my other plugged in and wireless devices), and ridded myself of ZeroAccess. But still no internet. Any ideas?

    You restarted your modem but you might need to reset it as a worse case scenario. Typically there is a button in the back you hold down for a few seconds.

    That said having been infected you still might have some bad settings leftover. I had a laptop the other day that seemed fine but once repaired all of a sudden I had Windows Updates, Java, Adobe and more that suddenly started working. You can use Tweaking.com Windows Repair to be sure all your settings are at Windows Default:
