Uninstall internet explorer 7 on vista

    Hello everyone,I was wondering if anyone knows how to uninstall internet explorer 7 on vista. I would like to have Internet explorer 6.Any help would be greatByeBrockisit

    I don't think it's possible since vista comes standard with ie 7 embedded in it.

    You can not uninstall the version of IE that comes with the operating system you are using. So, no you can't uninstall IE & and use IE 6 in its place. The options available are to wait until v8 is out of beta and install that or try another browser like Firefox v3, Opera v9 something or Google's Chrome browser.

    I agree you can't do it, but what is the result that you want to accomplish by doing this? If we know that someone might have a helpful suggestion.

    Or other than what MarkT suggested go IE8beta or my latest pet testing project in Lunascape (which is a multi browser using engines from mozilla, IE, Opera and Safari, so best of all worlds)

    However what is the issue you have with IE7? as IE7 in Vista is much much more secure than IE in any other Windows version as it as protective mode, which is like having your browser in a sandbox, nothing has admin rights to install.
