uninstalling avg problem

well, i tried to uninstall my avg so i can switch over to NOD32, but it keeps saying uninstall failure everytime i try to uninstall it. anyone have any ideas? or how to fix my avg? my avg's firewall keeps getting turned off, and i cant turn it back on.. so my avg is basically useless

 

Your best bet is to start your computer in safemode and try it again. To get to safemode, restart your computer and continually press the F8 key. A menu will show up asking you the different modes you want to start in, select safe mode. Once your pc boots up try uninstalling it again.

Start the installation process and you will be presented options.
Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some AVG component or reinstall the entire AVG program
Repair installation - this option repairs or reinstalls missing or damaged components of AVG
Uninstall - this option removes the AVG program from your PC
Choose to uninstall. This should do the job.
