uninstalling msn messenger

i recently formatted my computer and somehow messenger was installed, however it is not listed on add/remove programs. i did try and remove it from the windows components, but there is still a full program file for messenger in my c/drive. how can i successfully uninstall this? thanks

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Click ok.

 

i tried this and nothing apparently happened. where do i start and end with all that?
