Uninstalling Pc-cillin

I would like to uninstall Pc-Cillin from my computer but the uninstallation never workds. A message pops up saying "Please wait while Windows configures PCCDELL" but it doesn't get any farther than that. The progress bar at the bottom is frozen with only two bars. How do I fix this? i'm on Windows XP home and I'm trying to uninstall Pc-Cillin 12.

 

Ah never mind, I fixed it. But now I can't start Kerio.... Did the Pc-Cillin have anything to do with that?

 

What did you do to uninstall it?

I had the same problem with Freedom Internet Security software.

 

I'm having the same problem. I tried deleting it using the PCCTOOL as recommended by Trend Micro, tried just deleting the entire folder and I tried to remove it through add/remove programs. None of these worked.

Thanks evilfantasy but I ended up having to get a file straight from Trend Micro in order to uninstall it. If anyone needs it let me know and i'll email it to ya. The zipped file is just over the size limit to attach here.

 

Did anyone get that file from Marinemom? I've tried everything but every method sooner or later demanded a password.

This is a Dell PC and I presume that they set a P/W on it for some reason because I certainly didn't, so I can't get by it.

Thanks to anyone who knows how to get by that password so I can delete the sftw!

I have sent a direct email (from herandy) to righteousrat, ducati and esygibson with the zip file from trend micro. The password is novirus.

 

Could I possibly receive that file from you? I recently switched from PC Cillin to Kaspersky and had to go to a previous restore point, which has basically brought PC Cillin back but not all the files associated with it.

OK, I am going to add to the confusion here. I am trying to install Panda onto my laptop and I get the same message about the TrendMicro 2005 as well. The problem is there is no file on my computer that shows I have TrendMicro. Can you please help me. Thanks. I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2
