Uninstalling software

There are numerous times when I cannot uninstall software that I've downloaded using Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, because the software is not listed. Nor can I go into Start > Programs and find an uninstall option for a program that I don't want.

I recently downloaded a program named AB Hide Folder and after I read the readme, I discovered that it doesn't hide hidden folder unless the option "show hidden folders" is chosen. This makes the program useless to me because I always have my hidden folders revealed.

When I attempted to uninstall the program, I was asked me for my password. I was not given or password when the program downloaded nor was I asked to give one when I installed the program. I, therefore, can't uninstall the program because I have no password.

Can you tell me how I can uninstall the program without a password?
