I am looking for some sort of utility, that will allow me to transfer data from an 8mm tape in unix format, to a windows NT, XP, 2003 server environment. Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Depending on the Unix variant, you could use rsh to extract the data from the tape and then rcp to copy it to the windows machine, we do it with Unixware 2 and NT4 and it works fine. It can all be done with a batch file.

If it's a tar format tape, check out WINTAR from Spiralcomm.
