Have you even seen any IP addresses from these 'interlopers' yet?

No IP addresses, no problem - they're not on your network.

Eh? I'm simply saying enter the MAC addresses of all your devices into your router's filter. Nothing else will then be allowed to connect so you can stop worrying about those phones and so on.

Don't filter by IP - that changes.

Turn on MAC filtering and enter the MAC addresses of all your devices.
Turn on limits to IPs that the router assigns.
I have my router set to only hand out 9 IPs. Since there are 7 computers/tablets that have internet access (2 don't), a print server and a chromecast stick all my devices get an IP. If someone tries to connect, even in my home, the message will be "no working leases available". When I buy a new device, like a tablet, I turn off MAC filtering so I can read the MAC address of the new device and enter it into the router. I then up the number of IPs handed out by one. If a computer is ecycled, I removed its MAC from the table and decrease the number of IPs handed out by one.
