Unknown Threat

    Hi, my home computer has recently been infected. I can log into windows but can no longer access windows explorer or control panel. When i do manage to go around the system and open windows explorer, my C drive as well as my CD drive are no longer present.

    I am capable of going into safe more but even there the C drive is not present and neither is my control panel.

    What i have managed to do until now is to run CCleaner. I have cleaned my cache, same for registry. I unplugged my network cable from the router since i didn't know if it was also some kind of downloader virus.

    Can anyone help me? :cry

    I managed to clean my system after all! :)

    thank you to all of you who took the time to look! I appreciate that you even took the time!

    If you got clean from running thru the Read and Run First procedures, then it may be advisable to attach the logs so that we can be sure you are clean. :)
