I did all the steps under READ ME FIRST. Attached are logs from MalwareBytes and SAS*. In the past, I've attached HJT logs, but your instructions didn't ask for this, so I didn't run it.

*On ComboFix, after it ran, I let it sit for a very long time on the "rebooting system" screen, but it was clearly stuck. I attempted to restart myself after about 1/2 hour, but it was still frozen, so I forced a shut down. After restart it attempted to create the log, but it eventually came up with "not enough quota to complete this request" or something along those lines.

As far as what the machine's doing; pretty much the same thing after as it was before: Various error messages when attempting to open folders, too many different error messages to list them all. The system is running terribly slow, freezing, and refusing to bring up Control Panel, My Computer, etc. All intermittent problems, though, because I can sometimes get these up after restart. The one constant thing I've noticed, in case this helps, is that the top title bar on the Windows Explorer windows are missing, unless the window is maximized. I manually fixed it under Control Panel, but it won't hold.

Any guidance on what we're dealing with here would be greatly appreciated!

That's correct! We do not want you to run it. But you do need to run MGtools and attach the log from it which is C:\MGlogs.zip and it will already contain a HijackThis log. ;)

Forgot to mention that part. When I ran MGTools, it came up in the dos window with "insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service." Several Application Error windows popped up at that point, including analyse.exe failed to initialize properly, sgtray.exe I/O error, CMD.exe failed to initialize properly, FIND.exe, and a whole lot more similar windows.

Should I try running it in Safe Mode, or won't that produce the necessary info?

Yes try safe boot mode. Also see if ComboFix will run in safe boot mode.

Do you ever get messages about insufficient system resources at other times? You may be having hardware issues.
