A small group of us has been having this problem now for about 5 weeks. We have tried on our own to fix it but so far with out any luck at all.
Trying to post photos and videos on a social media site (Facebook) and all we get is the following message - "A web site is slowing down your browser. What do you want to do?" followed by "Stop it" or "Wait". Clicking on "stop it" does nothing and "wait" does not do anything ether.
We have also been unable to find out what web site it is that is slowing down our browser.
And it happens on all browsers we use. Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Bing and I.E.
How do we find out what site is slowing us down and how do we block it?

Thanks in advance for any help folks.

    Can you provide a screenshot?
Have you reset the browser (cleared the cache, cookies etc) you’re using when you see that message? Or are you viewing Facebook via an app?
Does the message affect a particular group or account?

Well if their are a group of people using the same IP i would say some one is a heavy down loader and ISP throttling you guys.

I would all so try and clear your dns you have to open your command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns on each of the systems.

All so check and tell us what your internet speed is.

Cleared all the browsers we use and still have the same thing happening.
No we are not using an app to view Facebook.
This is a screenshot of what happens. Unfortunately when the message appears it freezes up the page and I can't do a screen shot. When the message disappears I can then take a Screenshot_2020-11-15 Facebook.png screen shot.

Just press PrtSc (printscreen), open Paint and Ctrl V. Snip what you want and save it as a jpg or png. Then you can upload it.

Yes we are using the same IP but not all at the same time.
I cleared the dns then tried again and still nothing.
Speed test says Ping 10, Download 185.82Mbps, Upload 16.43Mbps.

Still getting the same message "Another web site is slowing down your browser. What do you want to do?" Followed by "Stop it" or "Wait".
Funny this does not happen with any of the other social media sites we belong to.

    Disable Adobe Flash Protected Mode
This solution is aimed at folks using 32-bit computers since this option doesn’t even exist on a browser running on 64-bit versions of Windows. The protected mode option is designed to keep you safe from intruders and malicious attacks but even the folks at Mozilla acknowledge that it may cause constant crashes and errors such as this one. That is why you can disable it and check to see if that will solve your problem.

Your screen shot seems to indicate you have 5 instances of FB open. Is that true?

No it just looks that way on the screen shot.

"(5) Facebook." Sure looks like it to me. Please exit all browsers except for ONE with one facebook page and screen shot that.

What you are seeing in that screen shot is ONE browser page with Firefox directory behind it.
Just to make sure I eliminated the directory and tried it again.
    No difference what so ever.

Click on the X beside the notification is the same as clicking on the "wait". Does nothing.
Tried the solutions with the links and they made no difference.
    Every thing is the same.

Just found out it is a script error. Not sure if deleting Firefox then a reinstall would make any difference or not but I am willing to give it a try. Also bit of interesting information I up load line drawings but not photographs.
