Unlocker 1.6.1?

Hi
I have been away for 2 months and upon arrival i found my computer not working. When i power it up it doesn´t load any of the programs that were supposed to be loaded on start up and 2 message boxes pop up from Unlocker 1.6.1 saying "No locking handle found". I can see the icons of the programs on the desktop but without images. Any program(uninstal, virus scanner, etc.) i try to start pops up the same massage including regedit or the "Add or Remove programs".
Tried everything with "Safe mode" but it doesn´t change a thing.

Can anybody please help in this matter as i have some very important stuff on there?

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

I'm not sure if you have blended information in you message together or what. Why is Unlocker running at startup? Or were you running it yourself? What files or folders were you trying to unlock? (By the way Unlocker is currently at version 1.85).

Are you saying you cannot run any programs on your PC?
In safe mode is eveything still the same? Will nothing run?

If you PC has not been used in 2 months, this probably is not malware. Or are you just saying, you were away for 2 months and during that time others have been using your PC and they caused these problems?

What Windows version are you using? Can you get Windows Explorer open (even in safe mode)?

I have no clue why it´s running at startup but it seems it´s starting up before anything else.

Yes, that´s exactly the problem.

Nobody has access to my computer and it has been switched off all the time.

XP SP2

Strangly no problem even in normal mode.

If no one has used the PC in two months, I'm not sure why you would have a problem unless two months ago is when you installed Unlocker and you had not rebooted afterwards.

Have you tried running System Restore to restore to a point old than two months ago?

Since Windows Explorer works, does Internet Explorer also work?

Does Task Manager work (CTRL-SHIFT-ESC)? If so, look for Unlocker in the Process list and see if you can kill it.
