Unlocker Program

Newbie here. Sorry for my weird username. I have tried many different meaningful names but they had all been taken. So I had to keep adding numbers in order to make it 'unique' like what it is now.

Anyway, a few days ago I had a file in my harddrive that I couldn't delete because of the 'access denied' error. So I found the 'Unlocker 1.8.7' program in this website. It worked like wonder. Now the file has been deleted and gone. And the unlocker program that I am talking about is this one:

But I have one question. When I was using the Unlocker 1.8.7, I got a message from ZoneAlarm that the program wanted to access the internet. Since the program is recommended by this prestigious and respectable website, I didn't think about it too much and let it access the internet. But later when I told my brother about it, he was a little concerned. He asked why the program needed to access the internet. I had no answer for it. And now I am also wondering what the purpose of the program is to do it. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

 

Generally, anything up for grabs from majorgeeks downloads, has been tried, and vetted by some of the best techs around, and should be considered safe. Sometimes a freeware item checks back to its makers vaults to do its work. If you are at all concerned, when its done the job you downloaded it to do - just uninstall it.
