Hi! On a Win98 system at my mother's house, I have a Windows 98 SE system with a missing driver reporting an error message at start-up. The driver is there but on a drive that's not available until later on in the boot process. It is not needed. I tracked it to an entry in the Registry but am afraid that, if I remove the entry, I may cause an unexpected error. Can I just remove it? Or might I cause an unexpected result?

Also, the system gives me a lot of pop-ups when I log on. Some I want, some I don't. They include errors that a file is not found or that the program is not compatible with Win98SE. The next time I'm there I should try the Add/Remove Files control panel and see if I can remove the programs.
