So lately, at least once a week, I've been getting a blue screen of death on my HP laptop, but its just gibberish, lots of foreign characters, and only stays on screen for half a second, so I get no error message or code or anything that could give me any information as to it's cause. I'm not sure what to do to fix this problem and prevent this from happening again. Any help?

Hi gray, you need to stop the pc from auto restarting so you can read the BSOD.....

    Take a look at this....

so basically, I'll just have to wait until I get another BSOD? And even though it's not on screen long enough to read it all, I can still tell the entire message is complete gibberish and just all foreign characters.

If you follow what Q said....then the error message will stay on the screen for you to read and report to us. Then you can restart your computer.

Awesome, ok so I ran the Blue Screen view, and this is what it says from the last BSOD I received..

    "
    Bug Check String: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    Bug Check Code : 0x100000d1
    Parameter 1 : 0xe1f35000
    Parameter 2 : 0x00000002
    Parameter 3 : 0x00000000
    Parameter 4 : 0xef117e85

    "

Not sure what any of that means, hope someone can help me out here.

    0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
The system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. The most typical cause is a bad device driver (one that uses improper addresses). It can also be caused by caused by faulty or mismatched RAM, or a damaged pagefile.

I've no idea how to fix that lol but according to that very useful link i've provided above thats what your error code means. When your on the page do ctrl+f and type in 'DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL'. It'll take you to the bit that concerns your error code.

    Hopefully it might help you!
