Unreal Tournament 3 Demo - 'modified code' error

I started a thread in the Software forum about this, and probably should have posted it here. So here's a link:

It is apparently a very common problem with the UT3 Demo - the install goes fine, but when you try to run it, the error "...modified executable code is not allowed. Please reinstall game" will pop up. I found the fix. The info is available at the link I just posted above. The issue was known to exist by the developers (Epic) and they released a patched .EXE. The download link can be found in the thread I linked to above.
