 I have a 'unexperienced' question. If one of those things pops on screen trying to convince you that you have all kinds of problems and need to download something (I never do),but you can't get it to click off no matter how hard you try. To get it off,you end up having to shut the computer off,and turn it back on.
Is there something I need to do to get rid of it? I'm not having any noticeable problems since it came on. I just wondered if the AVG and AVG anti-spyware,or CCLEANER I have would have got rid of it?
I don't know much about computers,so if you have an opinion to give--please consider the simple mind when you give it!!!:-D Thanks!

First if you are getting this popup then you are more that likely infected and need to run the cleaning procedure given down below. Second, just a note of something that often helps when you get a popup like this, if you have a properly protected PC with a software firewall installed, just lock the internet connection so nothing can go in or out. Then use Task Manager (or a much better program like Process Explorer ) to terminate the process/window from the popup.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
