    Hello,
First I would like to thank the webmaster for this site.

My computer was infected with some really nasty spyware that pointed to: windows-privacy-protectionDOTcom.

Tore my hair out trying to get rid of it, until I saw where someone else had the same problem and posted a link to this site on cleaning xp.

It took some time but I followed the directions and got rid of the nasties and my computer back -almost.

One of the things that happened before I found this forum was that I lost files from system32.

Trying to get them back, I accidently started to install xp again to a renamed directory.

From then on, everytime I rebooted, I had to f5 and point to the old OS or it would try to complete a new installation.

After I got rid of the virus and restored the system to a previous date, I was hoping I could just delete the "new install folder" and windows would load normally.

It didn't work, I still have to f5 and direct the load to the original OS.

Can someone tell me how to tell windowsxp that I'm sorry I made a mistake and I don't want to load a second OS on bootup?

Thanks, I love this site, gonna promote it as much as I can:wine
