update the player version to 7

i use to play games online but now the same games came with this " update the player version to 7 " I tried " media player 7, 10, and 11" but in the end shows " this version of windows set up is incompatible with this version of windows" Both computers, one with windows XP professional, and the other with windows XP media center edition , show the same. What i am doing wrong ? thanks

thanks for replying. LEV i did what you suggested and find out that windows player 11 is already installed, so no need to install version 10.But i think 11 already update the 7, right? MIMSY , the game is ' THE RISE OF THE ATLANTIS" , and i use both firefox and internet. I don't know exactly what kind of player(flash or media) , only appears that. Thanks

 

That game uses Shockwave Flash, that is what you need to update. They're up to version 11 by now, you should have updated a long time ago. New versions have better security than the older ones.

I looked at another game 'ATLANTIS QUEST' and the message is the same. however i clicked on HELP and find out the System requirements :
Java scrip ---Flash... Adobe flash player
You appears to have flash installed version -VERSION INFORMATION:- you have vertion 10.10.12.36 installed. I went to add and remove programs and they were there. Adobe flash player 10 plug in and adobe flash player activex,. Thanks for everything, I tell my wife to play another game.gefeiora

 

thanks, but everything is back to normal. Many people was complaining and ithink Aol fixed it.
