updates

If Acronis or Macrium have updates, or upgrades, which I know are different, as long as you boot with your rescue CD and the program appears are you OK or do you have to make a new rescue disc?

 

If the backups were made with an older version, then you can continue to use that version to recover, unless it has an issue that you have to get the newer version to work. Just read the release notes and see what they've 'fixed' & if it pertains to any issue you may be experiencing.

Most of the time any upgrades are backwards compatible to the previous version, but not always. The developer will usually note that somewhere.

 

Knowing I can recover if the rescue disk appears is what I wanted to know so thank you.
