In addition to my recent memory issue, I am also trying to find a way to update my bios without a functioning FDD. I thought maybe there was a way to use my USB flash drive? I have the update but can't figure out how to install it. Currently, the bios doesn't seem to allow full function and performance of my AMD processor (it runs only @ 1.2 ghz when it should run @ 1.6ghz). Also, the FSB available settings only show 100, 133, 166, and 200? Should it not go up to 266? My understanding of this is limited, obviously.
