Updating to Windows Vista

Would be very worth running this tool first, Windows Upgrade Advisor ( note that this upgrade advisor is just a rough estimate ), then check your PC makers site for Vista compatible drivers, if your PC is old then its likely Vista may not work well or install if drivers are nto available.

You also only have a few options for an inplace install upgrade of XP Pro to Vista in that the inplace options for Vista versions are Business and Ultimate, if you wish to use Home Basic or Premium, they both require a clean install, so do you already have a copy of Vista, if so what version?
