I have an Aopen MX3W Pro-V with a 500 MHz Celeron fc-pga / 100MHz FSB / socket 370. I went to Aopen web site and found that I could upgrade cpu to a 1 GHz .13 micron 256-KB L2 cache 100MHz fsb 1.475v Celeron. I installed the new Celeron, turned on the computer and nothing happened. I then removed the new cpu and installed the old cpu and it worked fine. Then I went to the Aopen web site and dowloaded latest bios. Flashed bios and computer worked fine. Then I reinstalled the new cpu again and nothing happend. Help!

Have you changed your BIOS settings to match the new processor?

I've just got over the same problem but with a MSI board. When it first came out the maximun was 2.0ghz. Through a bios upgrade they said it would now take up to 2.6ghz. Yeah right. Cost me an arm & a leg to find out it did not support their new specifications.

A new board sorted it out for me.
