I have an Athlon 2000 XP, Asus a7v333, with 512 DDR 2700 ram. Would I see a greater improvement in performance by upgrading my processor to an Athlon 2800 XP or getting a 1gb stick of pc2700 memory. Thanks for the help. Wally

Well, it appears that your motherboard won't run dual channel memory, so I'm not really sure which would give you better speed.

    You should upgrade both.
Start with the Xp2800 first, the 333fsb will match the memory, and youll get bigger cache on the cpu twice what your xp2000 has.

You see more performance with the cpu first.
    can add memory latter.
