I have an hp 2000 notebook it has an amd-e300 apu with radeon hd graphics. I was wondering if I could upgrade to a faster maybe even dual core cpu. I was wondering what you guys would recommend, do you think it is worthwhile and where would be the best place to purchase it? let me know thanks in advance.

Generally, I'm not a fan of upgrading CPUs on notebook PCs. If you decide to do so, you will first need to check HP's website to see what (if any) other CPU is compatible with your PC. Unlike custom built desktop systems, notebook motherboards won't always work well with an upgraded CPU. In addition, you're looking at having to totally disassemble the PC to do it.

The option I would look at is selling the current PC and putting the money toward a new one with a faster CPU.

    Hope this helps.
