I would like to upgrade to XP Home Edition. I am presently running Win98SE. My question is, do I have to upgrade to Win2K before I upgrade to XP?

I second robo's motion. Clean install is best. Heard of too many people having problems when upgrading. Personally, I think it's a bad idea because 98SE is DOS based, and XP uses NT technology. Regardless, a clean install will ensure you a trouble-free OS (hopefully). Don't forget to backup your data, like robo instructed.

Sounds complicated, but I'm gonna give it a try. I'll have to read up on how to back up & reinstate back up. I'll let you all know how I make out in about 2 weeks when I get the upgrade. Thanks for all the help. :D
