I have a Gateway NE56R41U, I was thinking about upgrading my hard drive to a 1TB. I was wanting to know how would I go about transferring everything from one drive to the new one. I know how to do this on a desktop, but am unsure how to do it on a laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's the same procedure for a laptop as it is for a desktop. You're moving the contents of one drive to another on the same computer. You could clone your current HDD to the new 1 TB drive then extend the partition (I'm presuming that your current HDD is smaller than 1 TB).
