I got a sony vaio pcv rx830 , 2.6 gig pentium 4, system bus speed 533mhz with 512 mb pc2100 ddr dimm memory. I can upgrade up to 1.5 gig of memory. My question is i always find memory like pc3200 or pc2700 and etc. Will those do on my pc or does the memory have to be specifically pc2100?

    thanks,
    Tommy

any of them will work, just 1 question, are you sure you have pc2100 ram? thats actually slowing your pc down if your processor is using a 533 fsb
you should be using pc2700 ram

i checked other documentation and the fsb is 533, so if by using 2100 memory its slowing down my pc can i remove it and buy addition 512 mb of 2700 and or would it be waste of money and should buy another 512...?

    thanks
