Crucial.com, Memory.com would be the first place to start to make sure you get the right type. Then again it may be just PC100 that it uses. As for performance, yes a little bit more may help, and it will take up to 512mb.

Memory.com has 256mb modules of PC133 for around $45.00, and Crucial has it for $52.00. Also going with a better system that is not 700mhz may be better (1.2 to 2.0ghz).

    Already posted what type he needs. SDRAM, 168 PIN, PC133 • CL=2 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 133MHz • 3.3V

Only kind that will work in that old of a machine. Personally I would stay away from Kingston ValueRam. Crucial is a better deal, due to they use Micro type RAM.

Not on a OEM would you be able to upgrade the processor. Upgrading the RAM would help for desktop applications like Office, and Internet Browsing. Especially running XP. I have one machne that I upgraded that was running XP, and upgraded the RAM and she ran a lot better.

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. Go for the 512mb if you can afford it, due to the machine will love you for it.
