upgrading my laptop HDD

    Hi all i am currently using a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop with a 120GB 5400 rpm hard disk drive sata 150. Is it possible to use a 320 GB 7200 rpm sata 300 hard disk drive in my laptop! :) Any advice will be greatly recieved:cool:major

    Just checked some online reviews and your manual and it doesn't say whether the HD is sata or not,I'm pretty sure it is 2005-6 when it was made was just around the IDE sata switch over practically everything new was SATA by 2006.

    Open your hard drive hatch before you order your HD and just check its SATA,if it is your good to go,be sure to order a slimline SATA notebook hardrive.
     
  4. Your dive is a SATA drive and needs the connector from the old one to work.
