Uploading a resume

My resume is a Microsoft Word document. I am a retired teacher but looking for occasional tutoring work. Some of the Craigslist jobs require down(up?)loading a resume but I have not been able to figure out how to do this. I'd greatly appreciate if someone could give instructions or point me to a site with good instructions(I already unsuccessfully tried the instructions on one site).

    Thanks.

If the task is just to have a resume available for download then signing up for a free account on mediafire.com would allow you to upload the file and provide a link for the download in your reply to the ad.

The benefit of creating a mediafire account is that you will have access to your file, later, to delete it when you want, and upload a newer version if you like.

If there is a particular resume uploading protocol then I don't know about that but mediafire is a good site from what I have seen for easily downloading files which I would guess is what people downloading the resume would want.

A Windows Live Skydrive account might be another possibility. I don't use it but uploading the .doc file to your Skydrive account and making it public for others to download may be another option. I've downloaded files from others skydrive accounts and it is easy. If you are just creating the account give it a professional sounding name rather than anything too hard to type/remember. If you only use it for the resume/tutoring purposes it doesn't matter how much spam you get--that is easily deleted.

    Thanks! I'll try that.

If you use mediafire go ahead and upload another small Word document (can be anything--a single sentence) and provide a link. I want to test if it requires the downloader to fill out a Captcha puzzle. Mediafire didn't used to require that and I don't think it does for every file but I have seen some captchas on Mediafire files recently. I don't get them on my own files but am curious if it is a new requirement. It would also let you know how easy it is to download your file. You don't want to use a service that requires a Captcha.
